I work in a city and i have realised that every lunch time there is a small market which seels alot of nice fresh fruit. I Went there the other day and i saw FRESH DATES!! I have never seen fresh dates before! like proper fresh, a little unripe, straight off the tree. Still crunchy and with a fairly high water content. They taste so different to the semi dry/dry dates. Im going to leave them untill they ripen a bit more and go soft. I also bought some lovely fresh apricots and juicy peaches. I lovvveee peaches with their soft, furry skin and juicy, sweet flesh!
I had banana milk tuesday, it was interesting. I made like 2 litres of it and i think i made it a little think. I had 3 bananas in it. I cant normally drink smoothies, so for me this was a good step as it was still quite thick.
I was naughty today though, and i regret it. My bloke bought me some vegan discuits which i LOVE and i couldnt resist. I thought i will just eat them before detox starts because i knew after a week i wouldnt touch anything that wasnt raw. As im only 3 days into raw again i thought id just eat them and thats it. Im so dissapointed with myself, i WONT do it again, i know that because i learn from my mistakes and no one wants to regret things, so i know i wont feel that way again because i will make sure of it.
One thing that always helps and motivates me is reading 80/10/10 by Dr Dough Graham and also watching Harkey and Freelee's videos and reading 30 bananas a day, their LFRV forum.
I cant wait for my juicy fruit tomorrow!

living off the land this summer!
Me and my mum went for a walk last Sunday, and i had planned to do some blackberry picking with her. So we did this, and got 2 containers full of delicious blackberries! We went a little further into a field we hadnt been into before and in the far corner was an old, over run allotment. There were no signs of the battered gate and the field was public footpath, so we went into it. It was amazing! there was pear tree's, apple tree's around 10 plum tree's, grape vine, beetroot, parsnip, spinach!
I picked some plums and spinach, and mum got some beetroot. It was so nice. Its just a shame how over run the place was.
I was also bare foot all of the walk so it was nice to feel the mud squidge through my toes (it rains alot here in the uk!) but then the wet grass cleaned my feet off.
I also picked some dandelion leaves and had them in my salad.
In the afternoon i went to my friends dads farm. He has about 10 plum tree's (about 3 different varieties, about 6 apple tries, 3 pear tree's and a mulberry tree!
the apple and pear arnt ripe yet so i picked a bag full of plums and i also ate some mulberries.
I must have got about £20 worth of food for free that day! My mums fig tree also has a couple of figs on it and her tomato plants are very fruitful!
This summer is going to be so good!

intro
Hey there,
You perhaps know a little about me from what you have read on my profile, but i just want you to get a bit more of an idea where im at.
I was 100% raw, 'high fat, eat what you want so long as its raw' type of raw foodists. I was raw for about 6 months. I really enjoyed it and loved what i was eating. I never ate dehydrated foods or made alot of that 'gourmet' stuff because i didnt have the money and tools to. I just ate alot of fat through avocados, mature coconuts and i used to eat quite a bit of flax.
My typical day would be:
Morning: fruit or sliced tomato with black pepper, salt and flax oil
fruit as snacks
lunch: salad (sometimes with avocado or flax oil) and fruit
dinner: avocado salad, or choc mousse made with avocado and dates, or coconut pieces, or loads of fruit (sometimes all those things together!
As you can see that is alot of fat right there.
I still lost weight, by blood sugar was super stable and i didnt inject much and i had loads of energy (thanks to the fruit) but i also started juicing and then because of the fat and the juice i was getting the runs every morning. I was constantly bloated and gassy and i felt so sick and hard stomached in the morning.
I often visited a site called '30 bananas a day' and the idea of living mostly from fruit interested me so i started eating more fruit...except i couldn't let go of my fat either. So i was starting to put back on the weight, i was even more bloated and i started to loose my way. I wasnt eating properly and this caused me to crave things i never did before, such as bread, porridge, potato, pasta. All heavy carbos.
I thought 'maybe if i just add pasta and potato into my diet, it wouldn't be that bad' so i did, and then it went worse from there.
I ate everything (so long at is was vegan) and i because a VERY unhealthy vegan and gained 1 and a half stones! I was also getting really bad acid indigestion, no energy, my body hurt, i was feeling so bad and my blood sugar went way out of control.
I became depressed and had many thoughts of suicide. I didnt care any more. I felt like i had completely lost who i really was. I loved being a 'raw foodist' and everything eating raw brought.
Luckily for me, when i was first asking about and looking into 80/10/10 lfrv, a great guy names Jeff sent me a copy of Dr Doug Grahams book, 80/10/10 diet and i have just finished reading it.
The last month i have been getting back to raw, but not committing myself fully. But now this week, this is it. I am 100% raw again, only the 811 way.
I know i have to give this a little more time as my body has to get used to eating this way.
Things im expecting at the beginning:
Bloating
water weight gain
detox (for me, spots)
blood sugar a little wild to start with
cravings
what im hoping for in the long term:
mental clarity
amazing fitness and stamina (which obviously comes with physical training)
release of extra weight
feeling light
stable blood sugar
amazing health
no cellulite
This is the only type of raw diet i haven't succeeded at yet, and its the one i really want to do, so it will be a challenge for me, especially as i have zero will power!
Good job i just LOVE SWEET FRUIT!
